"I have a rendezvous with death..."
Paris Through the Window paid tribute to WWI poet Alan Seeger in Washington Square Park on the 100th anniversary of his enlistment.
Representatives of the French Embassy, Harvard University, and Alan Seeger's family were in attendance; the Young New Yorker's Chorus, Bridgette Craw, and Dave Thomas Brown performed selections from Paris inspired by Alan's words. |
PARIS THROUGH THE WINDOW Paris Through the Window is a new musical about the City of Light during World War I, and the power of art to light our darkest hours. Paris Through the Window tells the story behind the eponymous Chagall painting, Paris Through the Window, and how the World War I poet Alan Seeger met his "rendezvous with death." It is a story about hope, the healing power of art, and Paris. |
